The 2026 NCAA Division 2 softball season is still rolling right along. With the top talent in the sport taking the field each week, the hunt for the post season is getting stronger and stronger.

The 2025 SAC Softball Tournament kicks off this week with a brand new format that could spice up the postseason. The tournament will begin on April 25th with eight teams working to make their way to the championship series May 1- 3rd.

For the first time, the league’s postseason championship will see its opening-round games take place in a best-of-three series format on higher-seed campus sites, which gets going this weekend live and exclusively streamed on FloCollege.

When the call was made for a South Atlantic Conference softball team to step up and be a conference champion last weekend, the Lenoir-Rhyne Bears answered the call.

The Lenoir-Rhyne Bears captured their first SAC Softball Championship title since 2013 as they swept Anderson with a 3-2 win.

Softball season has arrived and it kicks off this weekend with Division II teams competing at the 2024 Railsplitter Invitational streaming live on FloSoftball.
