The 2026 college softball season is moving and grooving every day.

With just a few weeks left to go in the regular season, teams a tying a bow on the regular season and are preparing for the post season. 

Conference tournaments will begin to tak shape in the coming weeks, but for now, the favorite for the D2 College Softball World Series are well known. 

In the most recent NFCA Top-25 rankings, Saint Leo is the team to beat at No. 1. The Lions still remain undefeated on the 2026 season at 40-0. 

Indianapolis takes a climb moving from four to two in the most recent rankings. Colorado Christian is also up two spots, jumping from five to three to round out the top teams.
