The 2025 SAC Softball Tournament kicks off this week with a brand new format that could spice up the postseason. The tournament will begin on April 25th with eight teams working to make their way to the championship series May 1- 3rd.

For the first time, the league's postseason championship will see its opening round games take place in a best-of-three series format, hosted by the highest seed campus sites. The winners of each series will then go on to the championship bracket hosted by the highest remaining seed, where an all-important bid to the NCAA Regional will be up for grabs.

In 2024, the Lenoir-Rhyne Softball team was crowned the SAC Conference Champions in a sweep over Anderson, securing the Bears' first SAC Softball Championship title since 2013.

Who will win this year? Here's a look at the bracket that will include the reigning champions along with the No. 1 Seed Wingate.

The 2025 SAC Softball Tournament will feature four opening round series on April 25-27 and hosted by the highest-ranked schools. The Championship series will follow on May 1-3.

• April 26 - Game 1: #2 Lenoir-Rhyne vs #7 Emory & Henry - 2 PM ET

• April 27 - Game 3 (If Necessary): #2 Lenoir-Rhyne vs #7 Emory & Henry - 2:30 PM ET
