92 kg - Kamran Ghasempour

Kamran Ghasempour comes in as the clear #1 after winning the past two world championships at 92kg. Ghasempour notably defeated J'den Cox at both of those worlds. Zahid Valencia comes in at #2 after defeating Mike Macchiavello at Final X in two straight matches. On top of that, Valencia also took out Kollin Moore at the World Team Trials Challenge Tournament. It's worth noting that both Kollin Moore and Nate Jackson have combined wins over Feyzulla Akturk, Osman Nurmagomedov, Gankhuyag Ganbaaar, and Miriani Maisuradze. 

It's important to note that Ghasempour recently suffered an injury and might not be Iran's rep. If Ghasempour is unable to compete at worlds, Iran will send Amirali Azarpira in his place. Azarpira is a 2-time U23 World Champion who recently defeated Zahid Valencia (6-3) at the Budapest Ranking Series event.
