FloCollege D2 Football Rankings 2025-26

FloCollege D2 Football Rankings 2025: Preseason

FloCollege is proud to unveil our debut Division 2 Football Top 25 Rankings. Each week of the 2025–26 season, we’ll be serving up a fresh batch of 25 elite D2 football teams as they scratch and claw their way through the gridiron gauntlet.

Our rankings combine recent team performance, voter input, and key metrics like total wins, margin of victory, and road success.

For the preseason list, we cracked open the vault and pulled data from Week 10 through the playoffs last season—highlighting teams that finished strong.

Take UNC Pembroke: unranked in most preseason lists, but coming in at No. 25 here after closing last season with three straight wins by a combined 156 points.

As the season kicks off, last year’s data will phase out. After that, rankings will reflect only the current season—with every game carrying weight, early or late.

For now, defending champions Ferris State have carved out their spot at the top, followed by Harding and GVSU, but the first two weeks of football are stacked and in D2 football, nothing stays still for long. The margins are tight. The debates? Inevitable.

See what other teams made the cut in the debut FloCollege D2 Football Rankings.
