But the calm doesn’t last long, because next comes the National Championships in Cedar Rapids, where everything is on the line.
North Central enters as the favorite, but Iowa isn’t backing down. After a rough first day, the Hawkeyes storm back in dramatic fashion with an incredible semifinal round that puts them right back in the team race.
The story takes a pause to visit Felicity Taylor at home, where we meet her boyfriend, also a wrestler, and see a more personal side of one of Iowa’s veterans. It’s a glimpse of life and love outside the mat, as Felicity reflects on her journey and looks ahead to what’s next.
Then it’s back to the action and it all comes down to one final match: Kylie Welker vs. Yelena Makoyed, Iowa vs. North Central, winner takes the team title.
It’s the perfect ending to an unforgettable first season emotional, inspiring, and packed with heart.
