The National Wrestling Coaches Association introduced the Triple Crown for high school girls wrestling this year with contestants vying for the prize at the prestigious Ironman, Beast of the East and Powerade tournaments. The first year produced three Triple Crown winners and several others who placed at all three events. Here’s a look at four of the stars who shined at the Triple Crown tournaments.

A new name entered the conversation in the girls' high school rankings. Violette Lasure — a freshman at Chestnut Ridge High School in New Paris, Pennsylvania — is ranked #25 overall and #2 at 140 pounds.

This year’s Journeymen Fall Classic felt like a runaway train for Wyoming Seminary’s women’s team. The prep school out of Kingston, Pennsylvania, dominated the field with four champions and 166 points.
