Kodiak Stephens is from Arnold, California where he placed in the state tournament for Bret Harte High School. In the fall of 2021, he will attend Oregon State. Also in 2021, he will represent the US on the world stage after winning the UWW Junior Greco-Roman World Team Trials at 87 kg.

It has been two years since United World Wrestling has held the Junior World Championships, a fact the global sanctioning body was sure to highlight upon releasing the tournament’s (presumed) list of entries. The reason for such an enunciation on the part of UWW has to do with the product’s popularity.
