Zack Ryder is a New York State Champion from Minisink Valley High School, who in 2021 won a Fargo 16U freestyle title at 152 pounds. Entering the tournament he was ranked #11 in the country at 152.

Zack Ryder grew up in New York just about three hours from Penn State and David Taylor's M2 Training Center. He skipped his senior year of high school to move there and train with David and M2. After wrestling at Penn State for one year, he transferred to Oklahoma State to wrestle for coach Taylor.
