Originally from Dagestan, Ali Shabanov is a four-time freestyle world medalist for Belarus, where his name is spelled Shabanau. He is scheduled to compete in the Tokyo Olympics at 86 kg. It will be his second Olympics for Belarus, with his first being the 2012 games where he competed at 66 kg.

Those who are not qualified will use this as a tune-up for the Last Chance Qualifier in Bulgaria in early May. The tournament will be split into two days of competition for each weight.
