Sydney Marathon 2026 Results: Addisu Gobena Sets Course Record

Addisu Gobena won the men's 2026 TCS Sydney Marathon in 2:04:42, edging fellow Ethiopian Chimdessa Debele Gudeta by just four seconds. Gobena returned to Sydney after finishing runner-up last year and got the job done, winning the men’s marathon in a course-record. The 21-year-old, who was a javelin thrower until 2023, took over a minute off the previous course record of 2:06:06.
