The DBU Patriots Go Back-To-Back & Claim D2 Women's Golf Title In 2026

The collegiate golf season for the D2 women has come to a close. As the dust settles on the course, the DBU Patriots have claimed another title.

The 2026 Division II collegiate golf season came to a close for the Women on May 17. 

After a long season and even longer weeks of the postseason play, the championship rounds have concluded and a champions reign continues as the Dallas Baptist University Patriots go back-to-back. 

The Patriots started their trek to the programs fourth national championship during the week of the May 4-6 as they competed in the West Regional. DBU claimed a second-place teams finish at the regional tournament and punched its ticket to the national championship tournament at the PGA National Resort in Palm Beach Gardens, Fla. 

With the match play format that occurs in the D2 championship tournament, the Patriots had no problem securing multiple victories to advance tot he next match. 

In the championship match, DBU bested Anderson (SC), 5-0. The Patriots end the championship weekend going 3-0-0. 

With the addition of the 2026 title, DBU is first team to go back-to-back since Lynn who completed its back-to-back titles in 2014.  This win is also the fourth title in the past six years for the Patriots and marks the 98th career win for head coach Kenny Trap. Trap holds the crown as the winningest coach in D2 women's golf.
