Sickles fired a blistering 6-under 66 in Monday’s first round, setting a new CCAA Women’s Golf Championship record for the lowest 18-hole score in tournament history. The record-breaking round was fueled by one of the most remarkable starts imaginable—eight consecutive birdies to begin her day—immediately putting both her and the Cougars in control of the leaderboard.
From the opening tee shot, Sickles was locked in. She attacked pins with precision and confidence, converting opportunity after opportunity as her scorecard quickly filled with red numbers. Her eight straight birdies not only set the tone for her round but also established a new benchmark for dominance in the tournament’s history.
