Originally a representative of Russia, Nurislam Sunayev has been a mainstay on the senior circuit dating all the way back to 2012. While competing for Russia, Sunayev was a bronze medalist at the Golden Grand Prix in 2012 and 2013. Since competing for Kazakstan, Sunayev has finished fifth at the world championships twice, and won the Yasar Dogu.
