Saritov is originally a competitor for Russia but has been with Romania since 2016 and overall active since 2006. Saritov started out his career with a pair of gold medals at the world cup in 2006 and world military games in 2007. In his first two trips to the Russian nationals, Saritov took bronze and silver but in 2011, Saritov finally captured gold en route to his bronze medal finish at the 2011 world championships.
