It’s Halloween weekend, and if you need football between costume changes and trick-or-treating, I’ve got five games for you. These are the D2 and D3 matchups I’m watching Saturday on FloCollege.

Saturday’s slate has plenty at stake: Davenport gets a shot at Ferris State’s 38-game winning streak, Linfield looks to extend its run against Lewis & Clark, and Chapman and Pomona-Pitzer meet with the top of the SCIAC standings on the line. Northwood also faces a tough Ashland test, while unbeaten Pace tries to keep rolling against Bentley.

No. 9 Davenport vs. No. 1 Ferris State

Two undefeated teams meet in the Calder City Classic, and only one will leave with a perfect record. No. 1 Ferris State hosts No. 9 Davenport Saturday, Oct. 31, at 1 p.m. ET.

Ferris State is riding a 38-game winning streak, two wins shy of Grand Valley State’s D2 record. Read more about the matchup from FloCollege contributor Ajay Shah.

Linfield vs. Lewis & Clark

Both teams are undefeated in Northwest Conference play, but Linfield has owned this series. The Wildcats lead 70-17-1 and have won the last 47 meetings against the River Otters.

Pomona-Pitzer vs. Chapman

Both teams won in Week 8. Chapman took over first place in the SCIAC with a 49-28 win over Claremont-M-S, while Pomona-Pitzer shut out Azusa Pacific 14-0 for its fourth straight victory.

The SCIAC teams meet in Orange, Calif., Saturday at 1 p.m. PT. A Chapman win would keep the Panthers perfect in conference play with one regular-season game left. Even with a loss, Chapman could still earn a share of the title.

No. 8 Northwood vs. Ashland

I’m putting Northwood on upset watch. The Timberwolves needed a Drew Cady field goal as time expired to beat Ohio Dominican 37-35 last week. Now they face Ashland, a familiar Great Midwest Athletic Conference opponent.

Ashland leads the all-time series 27-13-1 and has won the last 13 meetings. Northwood is undefeated, but the Eagles could spoil the Timberwolves’ Halloween. I’m ready to watch the spooky shenanigans.

Bentley vs. Pace

Pace is undefeated in the NE10 after a dramatic 20-19 win over Franklin Pierce. Down five with 2:07 left, the Setters drove 83 yards and scored on a 10-yard touchdown pass as time expired.

Now they host Bentley, the defending NE10 champion, at noon ET Saturday. Can Pace stay perfect in conference play? I’ll find out then.
