Christian Pyles, Jon Kozak and JD Rader broke down Bassett's performance against Woods, discussed Guilford's surprising win over Welker, reacted to the biggest results from Who's Number One and answered questions submitted by listeners.
Here's a look at the biggest topics from episode 1,266 of FRL.
FRL On Bo Bassett's Win Over Real Woods
The crew spent significant time discussing Bassett's Final X victory and what it means for his future at the Senior level.
"What makes Bo so dangerous ... he does not need to have a perfect match to win," Pyles said. "He's a guy who just puts himself in the fire. He puts himself in dangerous positions and he just plays the numbers game that if we have a number of exchanges, I'm going to come out on top of more of them than you will."
The hosts pointed to Bassett's relentless pace and ability to continue attacking even when Woods was able to get to positions that traditionally create scoring opportunities.
"I think what we're seeing with him ... is he not just getting better every time out, like month to month? It's not year to year," Pyles said. "It's just a better version of him every time out."
The conversation eventually shifted toward Bassett's chances at the Senior World Championships.
"I think he's a medal threat," Kozak said. "I don't know that I'd pick it just because so much of it is draw dependent and 65 is really, really good. But at the same time, in Kazakhstan, I wouldn't be surprised to see Bo Bassett wrestling for a medal."

FRL Surprised By Dymond Guilford's Win Over Kylie Welker
Another major topic was Guilford's victory over Welker, a result that surprised the panel. The crew noted that Welker appeared in control early in the matchup after scoring quickly in the opening bout.
"Kylie came out locked in, got a takedown in like 10 seconds and it's like, all right, Kylie's out for blood here," Pyles said. "Then Dymond seemed to make a couple adjustments."
According to the hosts, Guilford successfully slowed the pace and forced Welker into the type of match she wanted to wrestle.
"Dymond made Kylie wrestle her match," Pyles said. "Minimal exchanges. Dymond did a good job controlling center pretty well, taking the points when she could get them."
The panel also praised Guilford for staying confident after dropping the opening match of the series.
"For Dymond to lose match one and to keep faith, that's almost more than Kylie losing," Pyles said. "She believed, and that's all that mattered, and she got it done."
Who's Number One Headlines Weekend Discussion
The crew also reviewed the Who's Number One card, discussing several ranking-changing results and standout performances from the nation's top high school wrestlers.
The event featured multiple upsets and several No. 1 wrestlers successfully defending their rankings heading into the 2026-27 season.
FRL's discussion focused on what the results could mean moving forward as many of the wrestlers begin their high school seasons and prepare for major national tournaments later in the year.
