Last week wasn't my best week for predictions in the NCAA Division III landscape, with a whopping 2/5 guesses. I write about football for a living, but I used to get higher grades on chemistry tests. But alas, life goes on, and I'm back again to make some (hopefully right) predictions.
Taking baby steps, I am shooting for 3/5 right. Still a failing grade, but you have to start somewhere.

Without further ado, let's get into these predictions.
No. 5 Susquehanna Stays Undefeated Against No. 14 Christopher Newport
After a head coaching change, Susquehanna has surprised everyone - in that they have not lost a beat. They're currently undefeated through their three games and have continuously climbed the rankings, now sitting at No. 5.
But CNU is also undefeated. So the battle comes down to the rankings. Only separated by 9 places, a win for either team could change a lot.
In 2025, they played each other twice. The first win went to CNU in regular-season play, while their matchup in the NCAA tournament went to the River Hawks.
Susquehanna has something to prove and nothing to lose. And i've got my money on them.

Alfred State Defeats Utica
Some might call me crazy for this, but I stand by it.
Alfred State remains unranked after a 3-0 start to the season, but after this game they will get their flowers. They have had an insane offense, putting up 172 points, as well as a defense who only allowed 32.
Utica will prove to be a problem after quarterback Tyler Szalkowski put up 402 yards against RPI.
Both offenses are clearly lethal, but will their defense stand up to their opponents?
No. 2 John Carroll Shuts Out Wittenberg
Poor Wittenberg is on its third ranked game in a row. I hate to be the bearer of bad news, but this will also be their fourth loss in a row.
Not only do I predict John Carroll to molly whop Wittenberg, but I expect a shutout. Over JCU's three games this season, they have only allowed a single touchdown in each game. Maybe it's because they feel bad or are on their 4th string, but they have been crushing each of their opponents thus far.
Hopefully they will keep their starters in the entire game so I can be right about this shutout prediction.
MIT And No. 24 Springfield Yield Close Games
This might be a copout, but when it comes down to these two teams, I cannot decide who will win.
MIT has earned 105-7 points over 2 games, but against fairly less competitive teams. Springfield has earned its own 2-1 record, earning 104-65 over three games.
Springfield has wide receiver Caleb Hanthro earning 58.7 receiving yards per game, and Stanford Davis, who averages 132 rushing yards per game. MIT has Brendan Spellman averaging 80 rushing yards per game and Wyatt Afford averaging almost 2 tackles for loss per game.
Both have strong players and an overall strong team. If I had to choose, I would pick MIT for the sake of the underdog. But it is truly either team's game to lose.
