Central Washington earned its first win of the season in thrilling fashion Saturday, rallying past No. 10 Western Oregon 45-30 as Lone Star Conference play kicked off.

The Wolves built an early 24-10 halftime lead behind an explosive start, looking to build on their Week 2 momentum.

However, Central Washington flipped the script after the break, outscoring the visitors 35-6 in a dominant second-half performance to bounce back from last week's loss to Ferris State.

Powered by Justin Brennan's explosive air attack and Ryder Bumgarner's clutch goal-line touchdown runs, the Wildcats pulled off a massive comeback to upset No. 10 Western Oregon.

    With the victory, Central Washington officially kicks off Lone Star Conference play with a perfect 1-0 record, taking an immediate step forward in defending their conference crown.
