Josh Kerr won the men’s 1500m at the World Ultimate Championships in Budapest, beating Cameron Myers as Hobbs Kessler led the U.S. podium charge.

Josh Kerr delivered when it mattered most in Budapest, taking the men’s 1500m title at the World Athletics Ultimate Championships in a loaded final.

With Jakob Ingebrigtsen absent from the field, Kerr made the most of his opportunity, crossing the line in 3:29.35 to hold off Australia’s Cameron Myers.

Hobbs Kessler led the American contingent in third, while Cole Hocker, Yared Nuguse and Ethan Strand also finished inside the top seven. Hocker’s 3:30.74 was a season best.

Kerr’s victory adds another chapter to his rivalry with Hocker, who finished just 0.01 seconds behind Kessler in fourth as the stacked 1500m field battled to the finish.
