Audrey Werro Completes Flawless Season At World Ultimate Championships

What a season it has been for Switzerland's Audrey Werro, as she has now concluded the 2026 Outdoor Track and Field season undefeated in her marquee event, the 800m, as one of the fastest ever in history.

In the finals of the Women's 800m at the World Athletics Ultimate 800m, we once again were treated to another rematch of Switzerland's Audrey Werro and Netherland's Femke Broeder-Bol, with the return of Keely Hodgkinson following her second place finish at the European Athletics Championships.

Off the gun, Werro and Broeders-Bol immediately established themselves as the 1-2 early in, with Hodgkinson climbing her way for the third spot going into the bell lap. Werro managed to maintain her lead all the way to the line in 1:55.88, with Hodgkinson sneaking by Broeders-Bol to round out the 2-3 in 1:56.26 and 1:56.74.

United States' Addy Wiley in fourth with a seasons best of 1:57.54.
