Ferris State left little doubt about which team belonged at No. 1 in the latest FloCollege D2 Volleyball Rankings.

The Bulldogs climb four spots from No. 5 after winning the Colorado Premier Challenge, one of the season’s toughest early tests. Ferris State swept all four of its matches in Denver without dropping a set, including victories over three nationally ranked opponents.
The Bulldogs saved their biggest statements for the final day, sweeping then-No. 2 Wayne State (Neb.) before taking down No. 14 Angelo State in straight sets to win the tournament’s Gold Division. Gabby Piazza recorded 22 kills against Wayne State and added 15 more in the championship match, earning tournament MVP honors. Ferris State improved to 8-0 and has yet to lose a set this season.
Washburn Women's Volleyball holds steady at No. 2 after another perfect weekend. The Ichabods went 4-0 at the Sioux Falls Classic and closed the trip with a sweep of Augustana. Brooklyn Morrissey led the way with 11 kills on a .526 hitting percentage and five blocks, while Shannon Frakes finished with 32 assists and 13 digs. Washburn is now 8-0 through its first two weekends.
Fresno Pacific Women's Volleyballmoves up one spot to No. 3 after extending its perfect start to 7-0. The Sunbirds swept Alaska Fairbanks and completed a reverse sweep against Alaska Anchorage during their 4-0 run at the Denali Ice Block Classic. Mikayla Weiss earned tournament MVP honors after totaling 181 assists, 31 kills and 32 digs, including a career-high 62 assists against Anchorage. Weiss also was named the FloCollege/CCAA Setter of the Week for the second consecutive week.
Tampa Women's Volleyball climbs two spots to No. 4, while Wayne State falls from No. 1 to No. 5 following its first loss of the season. Nebraska-Kearney, Angelo State, Concordia-St. Paul, St. Cloud State and Missouri Western round out the top 10.
Cal St. San Bernardino Women's Volleyball makes one of the week’s biggest jumps, moving from No. 24 to No. 13 after improving to 7-0. Alabama Huntsville also continues its climb, rising six spots to No. 19 with a perfect 6-0 record.
Four teams enter the Top 25 this week. Emporia State debuts at No. 22, followed by Cal Poly Pomona at No. 23, Indianapolis at No. 24 and Ohio Dominican at No. 25.
The early-season movement is far from finished, but résumés are beginning to take shape. Six of this week’s top 13 teams remain undefeated, and each weekend is bringing more head-to-head results between ranked contenders.

Preseason positioning and voter input established the foundation for the inaugural rankings. As the season progresses, results, quality wins and overall performance will take on a greater role in determining each week’s Top 25.
