Sacred Heart Is Welcomed Into CAA: CAA Football Games to Watch

Week 1 of College Football is officially underway. Here are the must-watch games of the CAA in Week 1.

Week 0 is over, and September means football season has officially commenced. During Week 0, we got a taste of an epic season of football to come, and football is just getting started.

Stony Brook & Monmouth Headline Week 1 on FloCollege

Week 1 is a big weekend for the CAA on FloCollege. Here are the top streaming games of the weekend.

The football week starts on Thursday with Lindenwood University playing Stony Brook. Stony Brook started their season with a loss against the ranked Delaware State, 41-34. Lindenwood has a winning record from Week 0 after taking down Charleston Southern University in a conference game 20-17. Stony Brook will host Lindenwood, starting at 7 pm ET, live on FloCollege.

Saturday spotlights two major games on FloCollege. In (RV) Monmouth's second game of the year, they welcome Sacred Heart University into the CAA, playing on Monmouth's turf on Saturday, September 5, at 2:00 pm ET. After a Week 0 loss to Tennessee Tech, Monmouth will play Sacred Heart in the third CAA conference matchup of the season.

Rhode Island Football Plays On Professional Field

College Football on the professional stage. The (#6) Rhode Island Rams will take on Temple University at Lincoln Financial Field, home of the Philadelphia Eagles. Rhode Island rose in the FCS Rankings after a Week 0 win against Merrimack. They now stand at number 6. The Temple Owls will open their season against URI on September 5th at 2 pm ET.

Coach Perkovich Returns Home Against Buffalo

At the same time, (RV) UAlbany will face off against Buffalo in an upstate New York rivalry. The Great Danes started their season off with a conference win against UNH, with Coach Perkovich's first win as head coach. While Buffalo is hosting UAlbany, Coach Perkovich will return to his hometown and will have a lot of purple in the crowd.

CAA Teams Take On Power 4

The 0-1 UNH Wildcats will head to Syracuse, NY, to play the Orange. Syracuse was ranked #14 in the ACC preseason football poll, but the ACC consistently produces NCAA tournament teams. Their game against UNH will be their home opener, and UNH is looking to turn the tide of their season.

After a shutout in Week 9, Hampton will have to put up more of a fight against BIG 10's Maryland. The Terps will host Hampton in their season opener at 8 pm ET.
