FloCollege Staff Week 1 Picks: Lock It In, These Teams Are Winning

The FloCollege staff makes their picks for the top Week 1 college football games across FCS, Division II and Division III.

Following an exciting return to college football during Week 0, the entire team at FloCollege is eagerly looking forward to the Week 1 matchups starting on Sept. 3.

While most NCAA Division I and Division II programs are already entering their second week of play, this marks the opening week of competition for the NCAA Division III teams as they gear up to launch their season. Fans can look forward to several key games, including Indiana (Pa.) vs Ashland and Bentley vs Ferris State, to add to the general excitement of the Week 1 kickoff.

In Division I FCS action, Sacred Heart takes on Monmouth in a compelling matchup. With new players on the field and high expectations, both teams enter the season looking to prove themselves in a key test to establish early-season momentum.

Over in Division II, Wingate locks horns with Delta State in an important battle between two strong regional contenders. This matchup promises to deliver fast-paced action and set the tone for the regional playoff picture with powerful offenses on both sides.

Rounding out the slate in Division III, Chapman squares off against national powerhouse Hardin-Simmons. Chapman faces a tough road test against a disciplined Hardin-Simmons squad looking to make a strong statement in their season opener.
