The U20 women’s freestyle competition at the U20 World Championships is August 18-21, live on FloWrestling. Below is a schedule and a breakdown of the 10-member U.S. team.

Team USA
50 kg: Jaclyn Bouzakis or Morgan Turner
Morgan Turner was scheduled to compete at 50 kg, but Jaclyn Bouzakis is listed in United World Wrestling’s entry list. Turner is a two-time age-level World champion who topped Sarissa Tucker in the best-of-three U20 finals.
Bouzakis is fresh off her third Fargo title and is a consistent force for Team USA. This would be her first U20 World team after winning bronze medals at the 2023 and 2025 U17 World Championships.
53 kg: Taylor Whiting
This will be Whiting’s biggest test before attending the University of Iowa as a freshman. She won Junior Nationals in 2024 and is a two-time FloWrestling Who’s Number One winner. The Lena, Wisconsin, native defeated Aubree Gutierrez, two matches to one, to make the team.
55 kg: Everest Leydecker
Leydecker had one of the most impressive senior high school seasons in U.S. history. She won the 2025 U20 World Championships, notched her fourth Who’s Number One win, won the Bill Farrell Memorial International, won the Zagreb Open, won the Senior Pan-Ams, and made a Senior World Team. That’s on top of making U20 and U23 teams. So, yeah, the University of Iowa is getting a good one.
57 kg: Karlee Brooks
Brooks made the U20 World Team after finishing seventh at the inaugural NCAA Championships for the University of Iowa. The Phoenix, Arizona, native has been here before, finishing fifth at the 2023 U17 World Championships.
59 kg: Caley Graber
Graber dominated the U20 World Team Trials bracket to make this year’s team. She won a bronze medal at the 2026 Zagreb Open and was a 2025 Who’s Number One winner. The McKendree commit has a strong folkstyle background, winning USA Wrestling’s Preseason Nationals three times.
62 kg: Bella Williams
Williams was in a season-long battle with Brooks for Iowa’s starting 131-pound spot, and now she gets her shot at the U20 World Championships after skipping the 2024 U17 Worlds. The Edmond, Oklahoma, native won a bronze medal at this year’s Grand Prix of Spain and finished eighth at the Senior US Open, so she’s battle-tested.
65 kg: Riley Hanrahan
The Black River Falls, Wisconsin, native will enter the Army’s World Class Athlete Program (WCAP) later this year, but she’ll get her crack at the U20 World Championships before she gets there. Hanrahan won a thrilling 17-12 win at FloWrestling’s Who’s Number One in 2025, and finished seventh at the Senior U.S. Open in April.
68 kg: Taina Fernandez
Fernandez recently became the first non-Japanese wrestler to win three U17 World titles. This is her first crack at a U20 World title after taking on all-comers during her distinguished high school career. Since she entered ninth grade, Fernandez has never lost to a teenage woman.
72 kg: Gretchen Donally
Donally qualified for the 2025 National Collegiate Women’s Wrestling Championships for Colorado Mesa, and recently won the U20 Pan-Am Championships. She finished second to Jasmine Robinson in the best-of-three finals at the U20 World Team Trials.
76 kg: Piper Fowler
Fowler won the 2026 NAIA Championships at 180 pounds for William Penn but is transferring to upstart Iowa State. The Cleveland, Tennessee, native won the 2023 U17 World Championships and finished seventh in 2024.
