Wednesday's opening session established several of the meet's biggest storylines, led by Auburn's Tharp, who stunned the track world with a world-record 12.75 in the 110-meter hurdles semifinals.
He's one of many athletes seeking national tiles on the last day of the men's meet.
Many of the athletes who impressed in qualifying return for championship races. Auburn's sprint group enters the finals after setting a collegiate record in the 4x100 relay, while Habtom Samuel looks to complete a distance double after winning the men's 10,000-meter title earlier in the week.

Friday's schedule includes finals in the 100, 200, 400 and 800 meters, both hurdle events, the 1,500 meters, 3,000-meter steeplechase, 5,000 meters and 4x400 relay. By the end of the night, a team champion will be crowned and the men's portion of the NCAA Outdoor Championships will be complete.

The men's 110-meter hurdles final is scheduled for 8:42 p.m. ET on Friday, June 12 at Hayward Field in Eugene, Oregon.

Texas' Kendrick Smallwood also advanced after running 13.02 and will be among the challengers for the national title.
