The stage is set for a rematch with a national title on the line.
Adelphi and Tampa will meet once again in the NCAA Division II Men’s Lacrosse National Championship on May 24 at 4 p.m. ET in Charlottesville, Virginia, marking the second straight season the two powerhouse programs will battle for the sport’s ultimate prize.
For Adelphi, history is within reach. The Panthers enter championship weekend chasing their third consecutive NCAA title and the 10th national championship in program history — already the most in Division II men’s lacrosse history.

The Panthers punched their ticket back to the final in dominant fashion, rolling past Molloy 19-4 in the national semifinal behind another explosive offensive performance. Tampa answered with a semifinal victory of its own to earn another shot at the reigning champions after last season’s heartbreaking 9-8 overtime loss at Gillette Stadium. In their semifinal matchup vs Anderson, the Spartans controlled the closing possessions, dominated the ground ball battle 33–20, outshot the Trojans 54–26, and secured the 13–7 NCAA Semifinal victory to punch their ticket to the national championship game.

Last year’s championship instantly became one of the classics in Division II lacrosse history. Adelphi erased a halftime deficit before Kyle Lewis delivered the golden goal in overtime to secure the Panthers’ ninth national title and second straight crown.
Now, the Spartans return looking for redemption against a program that has become the standard in Division II lacrosse. Tampa has been one of the nation’s most consistent teams throughout the season and has the experience, firepower, and defensive toughness needed to challenge Adelphi on the biggest stage once again.
But Adelphi continues to show why it remains the team to beat. Between its high-powered offense, championship pedigree, and ability to rise in the biggest moments, the Panthers are once again one win away from cementing another chapter in their dynasty.
One year after an overtime thriller decided the national championship, another heavyweight showdown awaits with everything on the line.
