With the CAA women's conference tournament taking place in the coming days and the men's action following, the time to piece together the best game on the greens is now.
From teams ranked in the Top-100, based on the rankings from Scoreboard, and teams just itching to get on the course for a few more rounds of golf, the time to be a golf fan has never been better.
With conference play gearing up, here is a look back at the final week of the regular season for the CAA teams as they took to the links.
CAA Players of the Week
Drexel’s John Stevenson and Elon’s Drew Yeagley shared CAA Men’s Golfer of the Week honors after standout performances in tournament play last week. Stevenson captured medalist honors at the Abarta Coca-Cola Collegiate Invitational, finishing at 4-under 140 to lead a 98-player field and help Drexel to a third-place team finish.
Yeagley posted the top score among CAA men’s golfers for the week, tying for fourth at the Tar Heel Intercollegiate with a 7-under 203. The Elon freshman opened with a bogey-free 6-under 64 and has now recorded eight top-20 finishes in nine events this season.
No women’s golfer of the week was named for this reporting period.
Men’s Rankings
Three CAA men’s programs remain ranked nationally.
UNCW is ranked No. 43 (91-31-1, 43.54), followed by Charleston at No. 49 (81-41-3, 42.53), giving the conference three teams inside the top 50. Elon rounds out the group at No. 76 (98-27-3, 35.38).
The presence of multiple teams in the top 50 underscores the league’s competitiveness heading into the postseason, with several programs positioned to contend for the conference title.
Women’s Rankings
On the women’s side, two CAA teams remain in the national rankings, led by No. 58 Charleston (82-54-7, 28.82).
UNCW follows closely at No. 59 (65-62-2, 28.76), highlighting a tightly grouped conference field entering championship play.
Looking Ahead
The CAA Women’s Golf Championship is scheduled for April 17-19, 2026, at The Clubs at St. James (Reserve Course) in Southport, North Carolina. The CAA Men’s Golf Championship will be held April 26-28, 2026, at Dataw Island Golf Club in St. Helena Island, South Carolina.
Both championships will determine the conference’s automatic qualifiers to NCAA postseason play, raising the stakes for teams across the league.
With multiple ranked programs and strong individual performances throughout the spring, the CAA enters the postseason with momentum.
Both championship events are expected to feature competitive fields and closely contested finishes.
