
Denver is headed to the NCAA hockey championship game after outlasting Michigan in a double-overtime thriller in the Frozen Four semifinals.
The Pioneers struck first on a Kyle Chyzowski goal, but Michigan answered with two first-period goals from Josh Eernisse and T.J. Hughes to take a 2-1 lead into the second.

Denver pulled even early in the middle frame when Cale Ashcroft scored.
Michigan moved back in front on a goal from Jayden Perron with 8:58 left in the third period, but Denver answered late when Clarke Caswell scored with 2:46 remaining to force overtime.
After a tense first overtime and a second extra frame that tilted toward Michigan for long stretches, Denver finally got the winner from Kent Anderson in double overtime to close out a 4-3 classic.
The Pioneers will face Wisconsin on Saturday night for the national championship.
