As Emory and Mary Washington will prepare to square off at Gainbridge Fieldhouse in Indianapolis, Ind, the stakes have never been higher.
Both teams have earned their first trip to the national title game and for one program, their first national title is so close.
Emory will represent the UAA while Mary Washington will represent the C2C. Tip off is set for 3:30 PM CT/ 4:30 PM CT.

Emory's Journey To the Title
The Emory Eagles claimed the UAA Men's conference championship title to secure a play in the big dance. Since then, the Eagles have found their stride besting their opponents in dominant fashion.
An opening round win over MUW, 87-73 set the tone for the Eagles and since then, major wins have continued the momentum.
In the final four matchup, Emory wasted no time and secured a 72-58 victory over Chris. Newport.
The Eagles are averaging roughly 89 points per game in the 2025-26 season. Emory is also shooting roughly 46% from the field and an impressive 71% from the charity stripe.
Mary Washington's Journey To The Title
The Mary Washington Eagles also have had a path of dominance to get to the title game. The Eagles earned the auto bid out of the C2C after defeating Chris. Newport.
In the opening round of the tourney, the tone was set early as the Eagles claimed a 86-55 victory over Worchester State.
Since the opening round victory, the margin of points between this Eagles squad and their opponents has gotten fairly larger up until the Final Four.
In the semi-final matchup, it was a nail-biter all the way through, but ultimately Mary Washington walked away with the 64-61 victory.
The Eagles are averaging roughly 79 points per game in the 2025-26 season. They are also shooting 48% from the field and 73% from the free throw line.
