Selection Sunday is finally here! As 68 teams awaited their fate on Mar.15, here is a look at the bracket as well as the first round matchup for Hofstra.

In what felt like the longest wait ever, the 2026 NCAA D1 Men's Basketball bracket has finally been revealed. 

With Selection Sunday and the selection show taking place on Mar. 15, the 68-team field, including the first four matchups, was announced. 

In a bracket that is split in to four regions: East, South, West, Midwest, teams were seeded and placed for first round games taking place on Mar.19-20. 

Hofstra, representing the CAA, slotted in as the No. 13 seed in the Midwest region and is set to take on No.4-seeded Alabama on Mar. 20. 

Here is a breakdown of everything to know about the bracket. 

When & Where Does Hofstra Play Round 1?

The Hofstra Pride will square off against the Alabama Crimson Tide on Mar. 20. The two teams will square off at Benchmark International Arena in Tampa, Fla.
