Vanderbilt Baseball once again opens the 2026 college baseball season in Texas, as the Commodores, No. 23 in the D1Baseball Preseason Rankings, face No. 10 TCU on Opening Day of the Division I college baseball season on Feb. 13 at Globe Life Field.

Returning to the Shriners Children's College Baseball Showdown (now a part of the three-week College Baseball Series) for the first time since 2023, the Commodores have a massive opening weekend slate. Vanderbilt will play the Horned Frogs, Texas Tech and Oklahoma State, all three among the best programs in the Big 12.

The Commodores, the 2019 College World Series champions, don’t start the season outside the top 20 often and have an opportunity to surge up the rankings with a big weekend in Arlington.

Picked to finish fourth in possibly the most competitive league in all of NCAA athletics, Vanderbilt eyes another winning weekend at Globe Life after going 2-1 in 2023.
