In recent years, GLIAC baseball representation at the national level has primarily been channeled through two teams, Grand Valley State and Davenport. As we head into the 2026 season, at least for now, the status quo seems intact.

Both GVSU and Davenport appeared in the NCAA D2 Baseball Tournament last year, with each getting knocked out in the regionals. These two programs appear in preseason polls to start the 2026 season as well, with GVSU at No. 15 in the NCBWA poll and No. 18 in D2 Baseball Top 25. 

Davenport sits at No. 23 in the D2 Baseball rankings.
