Northwood baseball made G-MAC history last year, becoming the first team from the conference to make it past the Regional Finals and to the Division 2 College World Series.

Their journey ended there after losses to Central Missouri and East Stroudsburg, but the run highlights the most success the G-MAC has had since the conference began sponsoring baseball for the 2014 season.

Northwood, who went 40-22 last season, has now been tipped in the conference coaches poll to win the G-MAC North Division again, with Walsh getting the nod to take the South Division. The Timberwolves are also ranked in both Top 25 preseason polls, sitting at No. 8 in the NCBWA and No. 7 in D2 Baseball's poll.
