Only four teams in each pool qualify for the Champions Cup Round of 16, with fifth place dropping into the Challenge Cup, and sixth eliminated from Europe entirely. 

Both sides need wins to stay in the Champions Cup race, with the Stormers on nine points, inside Pool 3’s top 4, but far from safe, and Leicester outside the cutoff and chasing qualification.
