In 2025, the nationally ranked Northeastern Baseball team took a whopping 24-game winning streak to Charleston, South Carolina, the host city of the 2025 Coastal Athletic Association Baseball Championship. 

The Huskies headlined a six-team field of NCAA Tournament hopefuls, looking to claim a CAA championship en route to the field of college baseball's 64 best squads.

At the championship, junior Harrison Feinberg homered twice and drove in six, including a game-tying three-run double in the eighth, as top-seeded Northeastern battled past No. 2 UNCW, 9-6, to capture the 2025 CAA Baseball Championship at the Ballpark at Patriots Point.

The Huskies (48-9), who extended the nation’s longest winning streak to 27 games and broke the CAA record for victories in a season (48), earned an automatic bid to the NCAA Baseball Championship. It was the second CAA title for Northeastern and the first since 2021.

When Does The College Baseball Season Start?

The 2026 College Baseball season is slated to begin on Feb. 13 with the Shriners Children's College Showdown getting the NCAA action rolling for the D1 teams. 

For D2 and D3, the action is set to begin on Jan. 30 for most programs.
