The CAA is still represented in this lengthy post-season as Villanova will continue its historic season in the semi-finals.
The Wildcats will head into the contest on Dec. 20 as the 12 seed and will take on non-seeded Illinois State. The path to the semi-finals has not been easy for Villanova as the teams has been tested time and time again.
In the quarterfinal matchup on Dec. 13, the Wildcats narrowly escaped the fourth-seeded Tarleton State Texans, 26-21. The victory saw Pat McQuaide go 16-for-33 on pass completion with 180 yards and one crucial touchdown toss to push the Wildcats past the Texans.
