Many college campuses were finishing up finals exams last week which limited the number of competitions on the NCAA D1 2025-26 seaason.

Despite the skimpy slate of duals, we still found over a dozen upsets based strictly on the rankings. All the usual caveats apply. Upsets based strictly on the rankings may not be considered upsets by the end of the year, or even by Tuesday.

133: Kyle Waterman, Drexel over #9 Dylan Shawver, Rutgers 5-4
184: Jake Dailey, North Carolina over #19 Ian Bush, West Virginia 5-3
133: #25 Gunner Andrick, West Virginia over #11 Ronnie Ramirez, Oklahoma State 4-2
197: Robert Platt, North Carolina over #21 Rune Lawrence, West Virginia 10-7
125: #29 Bridger Ricks, Utah Valley over #17 Cooper Flynn, Chattanooga DQ SV
174: #15 Carter Schubert, Oklahoma over #4 Lenny Pinto, Rutgers 5-1
Unranked Kyle Waterman had the biggest upset of the week when the Drexel Dragon upended All-American Dylan Shawver. Carter Schubert also notched an upset over a Scarlet Knight as the Sooner continues his climb up the rankings.
