The semi-final round of the NCAA D2 football playoffs is finally here! With just four teams remaining in the bracket, the national championship title has never felt closer.

Two games highlight the docket for D2 football fans on Dec. 13 and the defending national champion is just one game away from looking to complete an undefeated season and back-to-back titles. 

Ferris State has had a terrific playoff run this far, taking care of business at every stage. The Bulldogs head into this semifinal contest after a 52-29 win over Minnesota State on Dec. 6. 

On the opposing side, Newberry has come to play in this D2 post-season. The Wolves head into the contest proving they can upset teams after a tight 31-24 victory over once one-seeded Albany State.
