WashU Wins 2025 NCAA DIII Women's Soccer Championship Second Straight Title
WashU secures their second consecutive NCAA DIII women’s soccer title with a 2-1 comeback win over Emory, capped by two late goals in the national final.

Washington University in St. Louis won its second straight NCAA Division III women’s soccer championship with a 2-1 victory over Emory in the final match.
The Bears began the tournament with a dominant 7-0 shutout over Wilmington, followed by a 5-1 win over North Central, a 1-0 win over MIT and another 1-0 victory over Messiah. The semifinal against UChicago resulted in a 1-1 tie and was decided by a 14-round shootout.
WashU entered the Dec. 6 final against Emory with an unbeaten season record and the confidence to find a third gear when it counted. The teams last faced off Oct. 26 in University Athletic Association play, where the Bears earned a 2-1 win.
In the national championship match, Emory struck first in the 21st minute, holding the lead for more than 40 minutes. But in the 67th minute, Monica Morales-Martinez found the net, and just two minutes later, Cami Colpitts put WashU ahead.
The late goals went unanswered, and the Bears were crowned the 2025 NCAA Division III women’s soccer champions.
