Nike High School Wrestling GIRLS Preseason All-American Team Announced
The first inaugural Nike high school girls wrestling Preseason All-American Team has been announced for the 2025-26 season.

For the first time, FloWrestling is proud to announce the Nike Wrestling Preseason All-American Team, which recognizes the top eight high school wrestlers in the country. This article addresses the 15 girls high school weight classes. The boys Nike Wrestling Preseason All-American Team was released earlier this week.
The Preseason All-American Team sets the stage for an incredible year of high school wrestling that will culminate with the announcement of the Nike Wrestling Postseason All-American Team following the conclusion of the scholastic season. The top eight wrestlers at each weight will shift throughout the year based on results and weight class changes.
During the 2025-26 high school wrestling season, we will showcase athletes each week whose outstanding performances allow them to stand out among their peers.

Abigail Peterson didn't enter Junior Nationals at Fargo this year, but the freshman from Iowa was in Greensboro in October at Super 32 where she beat both the 16U and Junior national champ at 95 pounds. Wins over Justice Gutierrez and Lilly Breeden, who placed 2nd and 3rd in the same Super 32 bracket, were enough to send the Big Game-trained competitor to the top of the rankings.

First Team: Abigail Peterson (freshman), Denver, IA
Second Team: Justice Gutierrez (junior), Pomona, CO
Third Team: Lilly Breeden (senior), Liberty, MO
Honorable Mention: Alliya Walker (sophomore), Grayson County, VA; Easton Dadiomoff (junior), Montgomery Central, TN; Olivia Hernandez (8th grader), Philomath Middle, OR; Francesca Gusfa (senior), Ridgewood, NJ; Giada Croteau (8th grader), Bishop McCort, PA

There aren't many accomplishments that have eluded Jaclyn Bouzakis, despite her being just a junior at Wyoming Seminary. Over this summer alone, Bouzakis won the U17 World Team Trials for the second time, won her second U17 Pan-Am gold medal, claimed another stop sign at Junior Nationals, won another match at Who's Number One, and earned another belt at Super 32. A World gold medal is so far the only thing that's been beyond her reach, but with two U17 bronze medals (one of which was from 2025), it seems only a matter of time before the Nike Preseason All-American adds that to her trophy case.

First Team: Jaclyn Bouzakis (junior), Wyoming Seminary, PA
Second Team: Ryleigh Sturgill (junior), Baylor School, TN
Third Team: Bella Manno (freshman), Thomas Jefferson, NJ
Honorable Mention: Lillee Denson (senior), Lakeview, MI; Sophia Toscano (8th grader), CA; Peggy Sue Dean (freshman), Springs Studio, CO; Angelica Serratos (sophomore), Santa Ana, CA; Riley Karwowski (sophomore), Wyoming Seminary, PA
105 lbs
105 figures to be one of the most hotly contested weight classes this season. Jaclyn Bouzakis moved up to 105 and defeated 16U National champion Hailey Delgado at Who's Number One, but then Bouzakis was back down at 100lbs for Super 32. Delgado then made the finals of Super 32 at 106 but lost to Christina Estrada. At 105lbs at Junior Nationals, Estrada placed third, losing to Sarissa Tucker, but Estrada also beat Tucker in the consolation round. Estrada was also a runner-up at the U17 World Team Trials at 49kg. That spot was won by Morgan Turner, who later won a gold medal. Turner has been competing at 110lbs (or 112 for Super 32), so Estrada lays claim to the appellation of 105lb Nike Preseason All-American, though you can bet there will be plenty of competition for the title of 2026 Nike Postseason All-American.

First Team: Christina Estrada (junior), Buchanan, CA
Second Team: Hailey Delgado (sophomore), El Paso Eastwood, TX
Third Team: Sarissa Tucker (junior), Mountain View, VA
Honorable Mention: Natalie Radecki (senior), Caravel, DE; Isla Silva (sophomore), Mellon, PA; Julia Horger (senior), Conwell Egan, PA; Eva Zimmerman (senior), Hillcrest, UT; Madison Healey (junior), Wyoming Seminary, PA
110 lbs
Add a Nike Preseason All-American honor to the long list of accomplishments already achieved by one of America's most promising wrestling prodigies, Morgan Turner. The Illinois native is one of a very select few people to have two U17 World gold medals, having won at 43kg in 2023 and at 49kg in 2025. And the Jordan Burroughs-coached Turner is just getting started in her international career, a scary notion for the rest of the world!

First Team: Morgan Turner (senior), Lockport, IL
Second Team: Kayla Batres (junior), Green Farms, CT
Third Team: Sophia Marie Gonzales (sophomore), Clovis East, CA
Honorable Mention: Gabriella Conte (junior), Hanover Park, NJ; Aubree Storm Gutierrez (sophomore), Marina, CA; Charlie Wylie (senior), Port Jervis, NY; Nakayla Dawson (senior), John Glenn, MI; Lyric Hetzer (freshman), Lakota East, OH
115 lbs
Taylor Whiting has been to the top of the rankings before, having been a winner at Who's Number One in 2024. She did not win a stop sign at Fargo in July of 2025, however, where she finished in third place. The Nazar-trained Wisconsinite was the challenger when she got her second invite to WNO in October of 2025. Taylor's hard work paid off with a win over 16U National champ Reagan Mathers, which put Whiting back on top going into her senior season of high school.

First Team: Taylor Whiting (senior), Oconto Falls, WI
Second Team: Reagan Mathers (junior), Valiant, AZ
Third Team: Marlee Solomon (junior), Canon-McMillan, PA
Honorable Mention: Abigail Gonzalez (sophomore), Miami Southridge, FL; Isabel Kaplan (senior), West Lafayette, IN; Winter West (sophomore), Bonney Lake, WA; Mai Graham (senior), Southern Lehigh, PA; Kendal Haynie (sophomore), Wakulla, FL
120 lbs
The trajectory for sophomore Epenesa Elison is up and to the right, and you'd be advised to buy stock in her career as soon as possible. The Southern Californian has two U15 Pan-Am gold medals to her name and recently won a U17 World silver medal at 53kg. She's got one more year of U17 eligibility to nab that gold. In the meantime, you can find the Ruben Valencia-trained Elison seeking out the toughest challenges domestically, as evidenced by her willingness to bump up to 125lbs to set up the main event at 2025's Who's Number One against Everest Leydecker.

First Team: Epenesa Elison (sophomore), Los Altos, CA
Second Team: Caley Graber (senior), Northfield, MN
Third Team: Carolyn Geckler (sophomore), Perry, OH
Honorable Mention: Marie Sharp (sophomore), Blair, NJ; Cheyenne Frank (senior), Oxford, MI; Taina McGowan (junior), Wyoming Seminary, NJ; Angela Bianchi (senior), Two Rivers, WI; Noelani Lutz (senior), SLAM, NV
125 lbs
Like her fellow Nike Preseason All-American at 120lbs, Everest Leydecker is always up for a challenge. The Arizona native is entering her senior year at Valiant Prep, having just finished a breakout season that saw her make Final X (the final stage of the senior level world team trials process) and win a U20 World gold medal at 55kg. The pupil of world medalist Kayla Miracle is now poised to have one of the most dominant high school seasons in recent memory.

First Team: Everest Leydecker (senior), Valiant, AZ
Second Team: Emma Bacon (junior), Wyoming Seminary, PA
Third Team: Cecilia Williams (senior), Mason, MI
Honorable Mention: Me’kala James (senior), Central, CA; Rachel Garcia (8th grader), Edmond North, OK; Nahenahe Kalamau (junior), Moanalua, HI; Madilyn Peach (senior), Milton, WI; Victoria Carbonaro (junior), Blair, NJ
130 lbs
There has already been early-season chaos at this weight, so expect a tumultuous rest of the way for this division. Emerging from the see-saw battles at Team Trials, Fargo and Super 32 is Texan Landri VonGonten, who won a 16U National championship in Fargo and then claimed the number one ranking in the nation when she defeated Taina McGowan, the Junior National champ at 130lbs, at Who's Number One. VonGonten dropped a bout at Super 32 on the championship side but avenged it on her way to third place, staying at the top of a very deep weight class for the Nike Preseason All-American honor.

First Team: Landri VonGonten (junior), Conroe Woodlands CP, TX
Second Team: Zorina Johnson (senior), Ida B. Wells, OR
Third Team: Olivia Bezdicek (junior), Jerome, ID
Honorable Mention: Emma Chacon (junior), Valiant, AZ; Caroline Hilton (sophomore), Cleveland, TN; Corynne McNulty (junior), Blair, MA; Naima Ghaffar (senior), Northwood, IN; Brooklyn Perez (junior), Valiant, AZ
135 lbs
Taina Fernandez made history this fall, when she and Bo Bassett became the first-ever four-time Super 32 champions. The difference between Fernandez and Bassett's accomplishments, besides one competing in the girls and the other in the boys' division, is that Fernandez is starting her junior year of high school at Archbishop Spalding and could come back next October and win her unprecedented fifth Super 32 belt! The Maryland native also won two stop signs in Fargo this July in both the Junior and 16U girls freestyle division, which becomes even more impressive when you realize those tournaments happen concurrently, forcing Fernandez to wrestle back-to-back finals matches. Oh, and she's got two U17 World gold medals with one more year of U17 eligibility remaining. If you haven't already jumped on the Fernandez hype train, you'd probably want to go ahead and do that now.

First Team: Taina Fernandez (junior), Archbishop Spalding, MD
Second Team: Morgan Lucio (senior), Valiant, AZ
Third Team: Carley Ceshker (senior), Traver, WI
Honorable Mention: Maddie Marsh (junior), Pendleton Heights, IN; Tamara Grace (senior), Gilroy, CA; Lauren Zaragoza (senior), Brawley Union, CA; Kailin Sebert (junior), Allen, TX; Kate Doughty (senior), Cañon City, CO
140 lbs
Riley Hanrahan made the U17 World Team Trials finals at 65kg and then split matches in the best two-out-of-three series with Violette Lasure. Hanrahan followed that up with a fifth-place finish at Junior Nationals, though her only losses were to a graduated senior and to Nora Akpan, who was ranked below Hanrahan at the time. With Lasure up at 145, a rematch between Hanrahan and Akpan was set for Who's Number One, where the Nazar-trained Hanrahan would get revenge and earn a Nike Preseason All-American honor as well.

First Team: Riley Hanrahan (junior), Black River Falls, WI
Second Team: Nora Akpan (senior), Centennial, MN
Third Team: Alexis Lazar (senior), homeschooled, MI
Honorable Mention: Ailee Briggs (senior), Lemon Bay, FL; Harlow Skenandore (junior), Pulaski, WI; Kesi Tsarni (sophomore), Bullis School, MD; Audrey Robinson (sophomore), Crater, OR; Dulcy Martinez (junior), Central Catholic, CA
145 lbs
Violette Lasure, who you may remember from the 140lb writeup, was the rep for Team USA at the U17 World Championships in Athens, Greece at 65kg. The Pennsylvanian continued her winning ways at Junior Nationals, where she won a loaded weight class and earned a trip to Who's Number One. In Coralville, Iowa, Lasure notched another win against 16U National Champ, Eve Skrocki. Lasure lost a nail-biter in the finals of Super 32, but her previous accolades and consistent performance at top-tier events earned her the right to be called a Nike Preseason All-American, who will now be tasked with defending her ranking for the rest of the season.

First Team: Violette Lasure (junior), Chestnut Ridge, PA
Second Team: Gray Joyce (freshman), homeschooled, KS
Third Team: Eve Skrocki (junior), Wahlert Dubuque, IA
Honorable Mention: Olivia Davis (senior), Esperanza, CA; Faith Bane (senior), New Bern, NC; Ryen Hickey (senior), Chatfield, CO; Greta Brus (senior), Davenport, IA; Taylor Williams (senior), Kernersville, NC
155 lbs
Ella Poalillo had a breakout season in 2025. She won U17 World Team Trials at 73kg. She then went to Greece to compete in the U17 World Championships and came home to New Jersey with a bronze medal. She defended her #1 ranking at Who's Number One and then ran the table at Super 32, claiming a belt at 160lbs. The Nike Preseason All-American honor is well deserved, and Poalillo will be favored to finish as an All-American at the end of the 2026 season as well.

First Team: Ella Poalillo (junior), High Point Regional, NJ
Second Team: Julia Araujo (junior), Bismarck, ND
Third Team: Olivia Georges (senior), DePaul Catholic, NJ
Honorable Mention: Leilani Lemus (senior), Clovis, CA; Janiya Johnson (junior), Kirkwood, TN; Symone Jewell (junior), Northgate, CA; Matilda Hruby (junior), Brighton, CO; Sarah Henckel (senior), Blair, CT
170 lbs
An impressive showing at the U17 World Team Trials, followed up by a 16U National championship at Fargo, set Kaili Manuel up for a bout at Who's Number with the top challenger at 170, Autumn Elsbury, the Junior National runner-up. The Michigan native Manuel triumphed and then finished as runner-up at Super 32 at 160lbs. The champ at that catchweight is Poalillo, who is down at 155, which put Manuel on the Nike Preseason All-American team at 170lbs.

First Team: Kaili Manuel (junior), Romeo, MI
Second Team: Autumn Elsbury (senior), South Tama County, IA
Third Team: Ciyanna Okocha (junior), Louisa County, VA
Honorable Mention: Alexis Penley (freshman), Murphy JR, IL; Bryce Snyder (senior), Palisades, PA; Sarah Pulk (junior), Badger-GB-MR, MN; Millie Azlin (senior), Bixby, OK; Elizabeth Madison (senior), Loveland, OH
190 lbs
Brook Huffman navigated a deep field in Fargo to a third-place finish in the 190lb Junior National division. The only wrestler to beat her at that tournament was a graduated senior, which gave Huffman pole position for the honor of being a Nike Preseason All-American. There will be plenty of challengers for that honor at the end of the season, but they'll have to go through Huffman to claim it.

First Team: Brooke Huffman (junior), Wittenberg-Birnamwood, WI
Second Team: Mia Cienega (senior), Everett, WA
Third Team: Halle Spears (senior), Midland, MI
Honorable Mention: Caroline Hattala (senior), Quakerstown, PA; Tevia Nau Rarick (sophomore), Westlake, UT; Kanata Richardson (senior), Bloomfield Hills, MI; Shauna Anderson (junior), Thunder Ridge, ID; Irelynn Laurin (senior), West Creek, TN
235 lbs
Deionna Borders' path to a Nike Preseason All-American honor was simple: win a stop sign in Fargo in a field with every other contender at 235lbs. Borders did just though, climbing to the top of the Junior National podium and setting herself up for a historic senior season at Berea Midpark in Ohio.

First Team: Deionna Borders (senior), Berea Midpark, OH
Second Team: Brenda Banks (senior), Panther Valley, PA
Third Team: Alexis Stinson (senior), Liberty, MO
Honorable Mention: Aubrey Bartkowiak (senior), Attica, IN; Phoenix Molina (senior), Tolono Unity, IL; Katherine Luna (senior), Downey, CA; Maliana Heimuli (senior), Euless Trinity, TX; Anna Bozanic (senior), Liberty, CA
