We are officially one month into the ECHL season and almost every team in the league has played at least 10 games. It is starting to create a picture as top teams surge and those foundering still have to feel like there is time to turn things around.

The regular season can be an absolute grind, but a number of teams have built up a nice cushion to feel confident about where they are at. Here’s a look at all 30 teams in our first edition of ECHL power rankings for the 2025-26 season.

1. Wheeling Nailers

The Nailers are far and away the best team so far with 10 wins in 12 games for a league-best .833 points percentage. Wheeling has been one of the league’s stingiest teams with just 28 goals allowed over their 12 games while outscoring opponents to the tune of a plus-13 goal differential.

2. South Carolina Stingrays

Another new coach, but the same results for South Carolina. David Warsofsky has maintained the standard as the Stingrays have won nine of their first 12 and are on a five-game winning streak as of this writing. The club has played a lot of close games, but is finding its groove. Goalie Mitchell Gibson has been among the standouts with a stunning .961 save percentage through six games played.

3. Fort Wayne Komets

The Komets have built one of the ECHL’s best teams on paper and the results have followed with eight wins over their first 11 contests. The Komets have done it with balanced scoring and excellent goaltending, particularly from Samuel Jonsson, who has already collected three shoutouts in six appearances this season.

4. Atlanta Gladiators

The Glads have won eight of 11 games so far while allowing just 18 goals. A big reason for their success has been rookie goalie T.J. Semptimphelter, who owns a .947 save percentage in six contests.

5. Reading Royals

The Royals are another team that can look to its stunning goaltending as a real benefit. Both Vinnie Purpura and Keith Petruzzelli have shined brightly in net with .967 and .935 save percentages, respectively. Meanwhile, Carson Golder (13 points), Brandon Saigeon (12 points) and Flyers prospect Massimo Rizzo (12 points) have led a potent scoring attack.

6. Savannah Ghost Pirates

Savannah has just one loss in regulation so far this season, picking up five wins in nine games to date. Robert Mastrosimone has led the scoring attack, which has otherwise been balanced throughout the lineup, while Florida prospect Kirill Gerasimyuk and Michael Simpson have helped stabilize the net some.

7. Tahoe Knight Monsters

Boasting the league’s top scorer in Sloan Stanick, who has 18 points through 14 games including 11 goals, no one has put more pucks in the net than Tahoe as a team. Former Penn State stars Casey Bailey and Kevin Wall have also put up points in bunches this years and find themselves among the league leaders. Whatever is in the water in Lake Tahoe, it’s increased goal scoring in a big way for the Knight Monsters.

8. Toledo Walleye

A perennial contender, Toledo has won seven wins in 11 games so far with a plus-14 goal differential. As expected, reigning two-time ECHL MVP Brandon Hawkins has led the offense with 14 points so far.

9. Tulsa Oilers

The Oilers tend to win ugly, but all that matters is that they win. They have a plus-1 goal differential while scoring 33 and allowing 32 so far. It’s been score by committee and lean on some excellent goaltending, largely from Vyacheslav Buteyets  and Tomas Suchanek who have helped the team compile a .922 team save percentage.

10. Maine Mariners

Maine’s AHL parent club Providence has been excellent this year and that has trickled down well to the Mariners. A big reason for Maine’s success is in net as last seasons’s Kelly Cup Playoffs MVP Luke Cavallin has been up to his old tricks with a .928 save percentage through nine appearances. It also hasn’t hurt to have one of the league’s top scorers as Brooklyn Kalmikov has 17 points in just 13 games.

11. Kansas City Mavericks

12. Adirondack Thunder

13. Florida Everblades

14. Jacksonville Icemen

15. Bloomington Bison

16. Cincinnati Cyclones

17. Idaho Steelheads

18. Indy Fuel

19. Greenville Swamp Rabbits

20. Allen Americans

21. Trois-Rivières Lions

22. Utah Grizzlies

23. Greensboro Gargoyles

24. Norfolk Admirals

25. Rapid City Rush

26. Iowa Heartlanders

27. Wichita Thunder

28. Worcester Railers

29. Kalamazoo Wings

30. Orlando Solar Bears
