Week 11 of NCAA college football is quickly approaching and with the FloCollege D2 rankings out to the public, there is a lot to be learned from how the Top 25 stack up.

It is insane to think that we are entering the final week of the regular season for D2 football and that these teams will know their fates on Selection Sunday.

Speaking of Sunday, the D2 selection show will take place Sunday, Nov. 16 at 6 PM ET/ 5 PM ET. 16 schools will receive auto-bids to the playoff field, while eight teams will anxiously hope for one of the eight at-large bids up for grabs.

Week 10 of the college football season brought chaos that honestly should be expected right before conference champions will be named and the playoff bracket is revealed on Selection Sunday.

We hope you are sitting down for this set of rankings, because this group is going to stir up some emotions. The good, the bad and the ugly took place, so let’s get into these Top-25 rankings.

The Top 4: Are They Ever Going To Change? Not Likely.

In the world of rankings in any sport, consistency is hard to find. Yet, in these D2 rankings the top-four teams have not changed no matter the chaos that has been thrown in their direction. However, we would be remiss to say that some gaps are getting closer than others (cough, cough, Harding to Ferris State).

The top-spot has not changed since the preseason and it would not surprise anyone if a repeat national title is on the horizon for Ferris State. The Bulldogs are 10-0 on the season and have absolutely obliterated their competition in the 2025 season.

With the closest contest of the season in regulation being the Anchor-Bone Classic, Ferris State is in the driver’s seat for D2 football. It is important to note though, that the Bulldogs did have to take two overtimes to handle Saginaw Valley State in Week 10.

Spot number two finds Harding still knocking on the back door of the Ferris State estate. Credit where credit is due to the Bison. It is extremely hard to keep an undefeated season alive and this team has done so for ten weeks now. The GAC conference winner by a long-shot will find a home in the NCAA playoff battle in just a few short days on Selection Sunday.

In the third spot for yet another week, Kutztown stays in the top-four of these FloCollege rankings. Another one of those teams left undefeated in the 2025 season. The 10-0 Golden Bears will host the PSAC Championship game against IUP on Nov. 15.

Rounding out the top four in these FloCollege rankings is another one of those teams who is still somehow undefeated after ten weeks of football after taking a bye in Week 10. The West Florida Argonauts are moving and grooving right along in the Gulf South. As the Argos prepare to take on the final week of the regular season, they will host Valdosta State on Nov. 15.

The top-four are going to house the only sense of consistency amongst these D2 rankings so it goes without saying that even though a team is ranked in the top-four, one slip up could detonate an atom bomb in the next week’s rankings/their chances at a one-seed in the playoff race. .

5-10: The Usual Suspects With A Little Change

Spots five through ten are seeing a glimpse of what the top-four see in this week’s edition of the FloCollege rankings.

The fifth and sixth spots see some consistency as the same two occupants from last week in their spots. CSU Pueblo holds up the fifth spot after an overtime win over Colorado School of Mines in Week 10, 41-34. Central Washington holds down the sixth spot after picking up an LSC win over Sul Ross State, 73-7 on Nov. 8.

The seventh spot in the D2 rankings sees Indianapolis up one spot from last week’s rankings. UIndy is 9-1 on the season and 7-0 in GLVC play. The Greyhounds will host Upper Iowa on Nov. 15.

Spot eight sees Virginia Union down one spot from being previously-ranked seventh last week. The Panthers are 9-1 on the season and 7-0 in CIAA play. After picking up a 14-3 victory in Week 10, Virginia Union is set to take on Johnson C. Smith University in the CIAA Championship in Durham, N.C. on Nov. 15.

Spot nine is seeing a new face this week, and it is about time this team breaks into the Top-10 of the FloCollege rankings. The Findlay Oilers finally see the hope and light of the Top-10 and as one of those few undefeated teams left in D2 football. Findlay is 10-0 on the season and 8-0 in G-MAC play. The Oilers are set to take place in the Battle of 224 against Tiffin University in the final week of the regular season.

Rounding out the Top-10, Minnesota State takes a huge climb, jumping up five spots from 15 to 10. The Mavericks are 8-2 on the season and 7-2 in NSIC play. Minnesota State takes the jump after claiming a victory over Augustanna (SD), 45-21.

Spots 11-20: Is It Finally Settling In? Probably Not, But Here’s A Look

Here it is, the middle of the pack, the teams trying to stay out of the bottom five spots in the FloCollege rankings or claw their way into the top spots. While it is normally a cluster of who is getting placed into these nine spots most weeks, these specific rankings seem a lot calmer than usual.

The Pittsburg State Gorillas are up two spots in this week’s rankings after being previously-ranked 13th. The No.11-ranked Gorillas are 8-2 on the season and 7-1 in MIAA play. Entering the final week of the regular season, Pittsburg State takes on Northwest Missouri State on Nov. 15.

Speaking of Northwest Missouri State, the team comes in at 12th in this week's FloCollege rankings. The 9-1 Bearcats are also 8-0 in MIAA play. Northwest Missouri State is on a climb and as the final week of the regular season is here, the matchup against Pittsburg State could be huge for rankings and playoff implications.

The 13th spot in these rankings sees Minnesota Duluth down a spot after being previously-ranked 12th. The 9-1 Bulldogs who are also 8-1 in NSIC play are down one spot despite picking up a win over Bemidji State in Week 10, 42-128.

Spot 14 sees a huge climb as Albany State finds a home in the Top-15 in this week of rankings. The Golden Rams are 9-1 on the season and 8-0 in SIAC play. After taking a huge 48-3 win over Fort Valley State, Albany State is set to play in the SIAC Championship game against Benedict on Nov. 15.

The 15th spot sees a previous Top-10 school in the depths of these FloCollege rankings. Augustanna (SD) drops from nine to 15 after a loss in Week 10. The once undefeated Vikings are now 9-1 overall and 8-1 in NSIC play. Augustanna picks up the first loss of the 2025 season in Week 10 after suffering defeat to Minnesota State, 45-21.

Spot 16 sees another normally Top-10 school in the lower parts of these rankings. Western Colorado, who has been in the Top-10 for a better part of these last few weeks, falls to 16 after suffering its second loss of the season. The Mountaineers fell to Chadron State College in overtime, 27-24.

The 17th spot sees UT Permian Basin up three spots after being at 20 the previous week. The Falcons are on the up again after picking up an LSC win against Eastern New Mexico,47-34.

Spot 18 sees a newbie to the rankings last week climb from 22nd to 18. Johnson C. Smith finds a home in the Top-20 after being previously ranked 22nd. The Golden Bulls are 9-1 in the 2025 season and 6-1 in CIAA play. Johnson C. Smith will play for the CIAA championship on Nov. 15.

Spot 19 sees LSC competitor Western Oregon in the hunt in the Top-20. The Wolves are on the move as they picked up a Week 10 win over Angelo State, 31-7. Western Oregon will take on Central Washington in the final week of LSC play in Week 11.

In the final spot in the Top-20, Ashland fell four spots after being previously-ranked 16th. The Eagles are 8-2 on the season and picked up their first conference loss on Nov. 8 to Findlay, 14-3.

Just In Or Just Out: The Most Unstable Real Estate In Top-25

Just five spots left to talk about in this D2 chat, and these last five spots truly are the most unstable in any rankings. To be in the Top-25 is an honor but it is always a privilege, one slip up and teams can fall out just as quickly as they were there. This week is no exception.

The 21st spot in the rankings sees Grand Valley State up three spots after being previously-ranked 24th. The Lakers are 6-3 on the 2025 season and have truly ridden the rollercoaster of football highs and lows. GVSU will take on Roosevelt in the final regular season contest on Nov. 15.

Spot 22 is a newbie to the FloCollege rankings as Chadron State enters the conversation. Once a receiving vote school, Chadron State has come out of the woodwork the final weeks of the regular season. After not losing a game since Sept. 6, the Eagles finally find a home in the Top-25 after a thrilling overtime win over Western Colorado, 27-24.

The 23rd spot also sees a new face as Northwood squeezes into the Top-25. After also hanging out in the receiving votes category, the Timberwolves are in the cream of the crop after picking up an overtime win over Tiffin University, 40-37.

The second-to-last spot in the rankings finds Newberry in the 24th spot. The Wolves are 9-1 on the season and 8-1 in SAC play. Newberry picked up their final win of the regular season on Nov. 8 over Carson-Newman, 28-21.

Last but certainly never least, the 25th spot in these FloCollege rankings sees Wingate escape from the receiving votes schools into the Top-25. The Bulldogs are 8-2 on the season and 6-2 in SAC play. Wingate on a five game win-streak is heading into the final week of the regular season on Nov. 15 against Mars Hill.
