#5 Oklahoma State Wrestling vs #11 Stanford Live Updates
Follow along during Oklahoma State wrestling's season debut from Stillwater as they host the Stanford Cardinal!

The #5 ranked Oklahoma State Cowboys welcome #11 Stanford to Gallagher Iba Arena for the Cowboys' home opener and dual meet debut. Both squads had wrestlers in last weekend's NWCA All-Star Classic, but now they'll square off in the premier NCAA dual meet of the weekend.
Action begins at 7 pm CT. We'll be updating this article throughout the dual meet, so refresh often for the latest information!

125 lbs - #2 Troy Spratley, Oklahoma State tf Adam Mattin, Stanford 20-5
First Period: Spratley looked for a go-behind on a re-attack from Mattin's shot near the edge in the first minute of the bout. He's unable to score 50 seconds into this one. Spratley hits a nice misdirection shot off the restart and takes the 3-0 lead at the 1:50 mark in the first. Mattin is out with a minute to go. Spratley darts in on a shot but can't score. They'll get a fresh start with 32 seconds to go. Matin takes a late shot but can't score. They head to the second period with a 3-1 lead for Spratley
2nd Period: Spratley chooses bottom. He escapes in the first 15 seconds. He shoots Mattin off the mat to earn a second stall call. Spratley darts in on a low level attack and scores. He now leads 8-1. Spatley cuts Mattin to lead 8-2. Spratley hits a beautiful snap to go-behind to take an 11-2 lead. He cuts Mattin then scores another quick takedown to make it 14-3. He cuts Mattin again to work for a takedown in the last 30 seconds of the period. Spratley hits a low single and scores with 15 seconds left in the second. He leads 17-4 headed into the third.
Third Period: Mattin chooses bottom. Spratley cuts him loose. The escape and a 22 second takedown make it a 20-5 tech for Spratley!

133 lbs - #5 Tyler Knox, Stanford dec #12 Richard Figueroa, Oklahoma State 13-9
First Period: Figueroa hits a beautiful double leg to take the first period lead. Knox scrambles to a reversal to make it 3-2 at the 2:26 mark in the first. Figueroa reverses Knox to his back and earns four nearfall! He leads 9-2! They go off the mat, and Figueroa will begin with an optional start. Knox secures the escape, but Figueroa gets in on a deep attack. Knox turns it into an incredible scramble, but they end up out of bounds! Knox hits a single with 40 seconds to go and converts for a takedown! Figueroa now leads 9-6. What a period!
Second Period: Figueroa starts on bottom. He's close to a reversal, but Knox remains on top. He's settling into a ride now with 90 seconds to go in the period. Knox earns two nearfall points on a power half from a double leg ride. It's 9-8! Figueroa works his way out for a reversal with 20 seconds left in the period to make it 11-8. Stanford challenges the reversal call. We'll see what the officials say. The call is overturned, and it's back to 9-8. Knox ends the period with riding time.
Third Period: Knox chooses bottom, and Figueroa chooses to start neutral. It's 9-9 and Knox has the riding time advantage. Figueroa takes an immediate shot, and they're scrambling! Stalemate with 1:07 to go! Knox shoots before the whistle and earns a caution. Knox shoots a low-level attack and finishes! He's up 12-9 with riding time! Knox finishes on top and secures the 13-9 victory.
Oklahoma State 5, Stanford 3
141 lbs - Sergio Vega, Oklahoma State tf Jack Consiglio, Stanford 16-1
First Period: The first minute is an absolute scramble fest between two guys who were known for scrambling in high school. Vega ends up with the takedown over Consiglio half way through the period to take a 3-0 lead! Vega locks up an arm bar and sneaks a half in on the other side. He rolls through for a David Taylor style turn. He was close to the fall but settles for the 7-0 lead after the first.
Second Period: Vega starts on bottom. Consiglio puts legs in, but Vega notches the reversal for a 9-0 lead. Vega's leg riding is noticeably improved since high school. He's put a ton of pressure on Consiglio in this second period, and Consiglio is hit for stalling late in the second.
Third Period: Consiglio chooses neutral. He its a single, and they're scrambling again. Vega threatens a cradle and scores the takedown. He cuts Consiglio, and it's 13-1. Vega hits a nasty lol level attack for the 16-1 tech!

149 lbs - #23 Aden Valencia, Stanford maj dec #2 Casey Swiderski, Oklahoma State 13-3
First Period: Valencia gets in deep on a single and works hard for a finish! He leads 3-0 thirty seconds into this one. Swiderski escapes to make it 3-1. Valencia handfights hard out of bounds to earn a stall call against Swiderski. Swiderski gets in deep on a single late in the period. Valencia clamps onto the ankle and earns a stalemate with 18 seconds left.
Second Period: Valencia chooses bottom and escapes quickly. He leads 4-1. Valencia takes Swiderski off the edge again and earns a second stall call. He now leads 5-1. Swiderski shoots, and Valencia scores on a re-attack! He leads 8-1 with 30 seconds left in the period.
Third Period: Swiderski chooses bottom and escapes to make it 8-2. Riding time is not yet locked for Valencia. Swiderski is hit for stalling on the edge again to make it 9-2, and he takes another attack off the whistle. He leads 12-2 in the third. Valencia cuts Swiderski and it's 12-3. Valencia gets another point for riding time, and he has a massive win!
Oklahoma State 10, Stanford 7
157 lbs - Landon Robideau, Oklahoma State maj dec #5 Daniel Cardenas, Stanford 11-2
First Period: Robideau opens the scoring with a nice takedown off a wild scramble. Cardenas immediately escapes, and it's 3-1 for Robideau. Late in the first, Robideau hits a beautiful re-attack and scores to make it 6-1 at the end of the first!
Second Period: Robideau starts on bottom. A massive mat return from Cardenas ends up in video review. The officials call a slam after the review, and it's 7-1 for Robideau. On the restart, Robideau escapes to make it 8-1. Robideau hits an incredible go-behind attempt, but Cardenas scrambles to a stalemate! That's how the period ends.
Third Period: Cardenas starts on bottom. Robideau cuts Cardenas at the 1:45 mark to make it 8-2. Robideau takes a shot but can't score. Robideau looked too be tired on the edge but hit a low level double leg to secure a takedown for a 11-2 major decision!

165 lbs - LaDarion Lockett, Oklahoma State dec #4 Hunter Garvin, Stanford 2-1
First Period: 50 seconds into the bout the action goes off the mat. No score. Lockett ends up on a leg 20 seconds later, but they go out of bounds. 0-0. No score after the first.
Second Perod: Garvin chooses bottom. Lockett puts a hard ride on, and his riding time surpasses a minute. Lockett earns a HUGE mat return at the end of the period.
Third Period: Lockett chooses bottom. Garvin starts optional and releases Lockett. It's 1-0 for Oklahoma State's true freshman. Action goes out of bounds with 1:09 to go. They're out of bounds again with 36 seconds left. Out of bounds again with 27 seconds left, and Lockett gets hit for stalling. It's 1-1. Lockett secures a riding time point for the 2-1 victory.

174 lbs - #11 Alex Facundo, Oklahoma State tf Collin Guffey, Stanford 19-3
First Period: After a mostly uneventful first half of the period, Facundo hits a beautiful Metzger takedown for the 3-0 lead. He cuts Guffey to make it 3-1. Facundo finishes a single leg late to take a 6-1 lead.
Second Period: Facundo starts on bottom. He escapes quickly to make it 7-1. Facundo transitions from a leg attack to a body lock and secures another takedown to make it 10-1. He ends the period on top with 1:39 of riding time.
Third Period: Guffey chooses bottom, but Facundo selects neutral to make it 10-2. Facundo is in on an attack right away and finishes to make it 13-1. He cuts Guffey to make it 13-2. He quickly secures another takedown to make it 16-3. Another takedown gives Facundo the 19-3 tech!
Oklahoma State 22, Stanford 7
184 lbs - #4 Zack Ryder, Oklahoma State dec Abraham Wojcikiewicz, Stanford 4-2
First Period: It was a hand fight battle without any serious attacks. 0-0.
Second Period: Ryder chooses bottom. Wojcikiewicz drops down and earns a stall call with 1:39 left. Ryder escapes for a 1-0 lead. That's it for the period.
Third Period: Wojcikiewicz chooses bottom. He escapes to tie it 1-1. An attack with a little over a minute to go for Ryder makes it 4-1. Ryder cuts him to make it 4-2. That's the way the match will end.

197 lbs - #9 Cody Merrill, Oklahoma State dec Angelo Posada, Stanford 5-3
First Period: scoreless without a ton of attacks.
Second Period: Merill chooses bottom. Posada rides tough for 35 seconds, but Merrill eventually works hard for an escape to make it 1-0.
Third Period: Posada chooses bottom. Posada hits a standing granby on a mat return attempt with 30 seconds to go for a reversal! He leads 2-1. Posada's riding time moves over a minute. Merrill earns an escape and quickly goes behind for a takedown! He appears to win 5-3 as Posada's riding time point is secured! This is under review. After the review, the call is confirmed, and Merrill gets the victory.
Oklahoma State 28, Stanford 7
285 lbs - #9 Konnor Doucet, Oklahoma State tf Jackson Mankowski, Stanford 19-4
First Period: Two minutes in, Doucet hits an underhook throw by to a single leg for a takedown. He leads 3-0.
Second Period: Doucet selects bottom. He escapes and quickly secures another takedown for a 7-0 lead! He cuts Mankowski and gets another quick takedown! It's 10-1. After a cut, it's 10-2. A duck under gives Doucet a 13-2 lead. Another cut and takedown gives Doucet a 16-3 lead headed into the third.
Third Period: Mankowski selects bottom, and Doucet signals an optional star. The escape makes it 16-4. Doucet throws an underhook to a single leg then uses a go behind for the takedown and tech! He wins it 19-4
