Murrayfield Stadium will celebrate 100 years of international rugby this weekend, as No. 8 Scotland hosts No. 2 New Zealand in what promises to be a landmark test match in Edinburgh. 

Gregor Townsend’s side, fresh off an emphatic win over the USA, has made several adjustments as it prepares to face the All Blacks — a team Scotland has never beaten in over a century of meetings.

Edinburgh prop D’Arcy Rae returns to the starting lineup alongside Pierre Schoeman and Ewan Ashman in the front row, while Kyle Steyn and Rory Hutchinson also come in to start. 

Finn Russell and Ben White resume their established halfback pairing, and the Glasgow-heavy back row of Gregor Brown, Matt Fagerson and Jack Dempsey adds pace and balance. 

With Murrayfield sold out, Scotland will look to channel the emotion of the occasion into a performance that pushes New Zealand to the limit.

For the All Blacks, Ardie Savea captains a powerful side that features Codie Taylor and Beauden Barrett as vice-captains. 

The other Barrett brothers, Scott and Jordie, are unavailable through injury, leading to starts for Josh Lord and Leicester Fainga’anuku. 

Wallace Sititi joins the starting loose forwards, while Damian McKenzie headlines a dangerous bench. 

Coach Scott Robertson noted the significance of Murrayfield’s centenary and emphasized his team’s respect for Scotland’s progress.
