Purdue Northwest begins the 2025–26 season under new leadership and a renewed vision. First-year head coach Jordan Ashton takes the reins with a retooled roster built on toughness, energy and player development. The Pride were picked ninth in the GLIAC preseason poll as they embark on a new era.

Only one player returns from last year’s team — senior forward Trevon Stoutermire — who provides size, rebounding and leadership. At 6-foot-8, he anchors a roster loaded with newcomers who reflect Ashton’s high-tempo, defensive-minded approach.

PNW’s new faces include Division I transfer Davontae Hall from UMKC and several Division II and JUCO standouts, including Ahlante Askew, Kevin Taylor and Zach Hayslett. Ashton’s emphasis on pace, discipline and competitiveness sets the tone for the rebuild.

While expectations outside Hammond are modest, the Pride’s internal belief and revamped identity signal the start of a determined new chapter for Purdue Northwest basketball.
