D3 College Volleyball: 3 Must-Watch Games This Week
7:00 p.m. ET, Tuesday, October 28: MIT vs Wellesley College
The Engineers have performed well all season, carrying a 20-3 record and going unbeaten in conference play so far. Kayleigh May has been the ultimate playmaker for MIT averaging 10.78 assists per set—good enough for 3rd in the league.
MIT leads the NEWMAC in most stat lines, but its most impressive might be keeping opponents from scoring easy points on the serve—averaging just 1.29 per set.
Wellesley College is 10-10 and although just 4-4 in conference play, the Blues have a strong core with senior Kaija Kunze-Hoeg and Else Kunze-Hoeg.
10:00 p.m. ET, Tuesday, October 28: La Verne vs. Cal Lutheran
La Verne has held the top spot in the rankings since week 4, maintaining their undefeated record 20 games in. Junior Zacky Coaston out of Fontana, CA has been a superstar. Coaston has made 1.42 blocks per set making her individually the second best in the league and helping La Verne to the top spot overall with 346 total.
Mya Ray is a stone cold killer for the Leopards with 4.76 per set.
Watch La Verne try to finish out an incredible 2025 season as they take on SCIAC opponent Cal Lutheran.
7:00 p.m. ET, Wednesday, October 29: Randolph-Macon vs Virginia Wesleyan
In a key ODAC battle that goes back decades, the 11-8 (5-5) Randolph-Macon volleyball team hits the road for Virginia Beach to try to add one more loss to the 26-1 (9-0) Virginia Wesleyan Marlins record.
Coming off of a four-loss streak, the Jackets will be looking to turn their luck against one of the best teams in the country before continuing a brutal gauntlet of six out of seven opponents in a row either being nationally ranked or having received votes to be ranked.
Next up? RV NYU, No. 12 Emory, No. 15 Ithaca, and No. 14 Berry.
Virginia Wesleyan leads the ODAC after a close 3-2 win earlier this season against Lynchburg. VWU's only loss came at the hands of the Sailsbury Sea Gulls.
