Scotstoun Stadium sets the stage for one of the most anticipated matches of the early United Rugby Championship season, as the Glasgow Warriors host the Vodacom Bulls on Friday, Oct. 24. 

Kickoff is scheduled for 2:45 p.m. ET. The match will air live on FloRugby and the FloSports app and will stream for free on FloRugby's YouTube page.

The match features two heavyweight squads with changes on both sides. 

Glasgow has made six adjustments to the team that beat Ospreys, while the Bulls welcome back captain Ruan Nortje after his stint with the Springboks. 

Glasgow head coach Franco Smith said his team must match the Bulls’ physical and mental intensity to close out their opening run of fixtures the right way.

“We know we must be at our best this weekend, as we look to finish the first block of fixtures on a high,” Smith said. “The Bulls possess one of the strongest and deepest squads in the BKT URC; they are consistent in the quality of performances they produce, and their track record — including reaching three of the first four BKT URC Finals — shows the caliber and quality of squad they have at their disposal.

“We know we must be at the right level physically and mentally in order to meet their challenge tomorrow night.”

Vodacom Bulls head coach Johan Ackermann said the matchup is another valuable test against a side he considers among the best in the league.

“It’s a challenge playing Glasgow at home,” Ackermann said. “They have been one of the most consistent sides the last couple of years under Franco Smith. They are well coached style-wise and tactics-wise with quality players. They have a strong culture and a passionate crowd.

“It’s another opportunity to measure ourselves. As a team, we are still not firing like we want to, but this is another chance. Glasgow have been one of the best attacking sides in the competition, but I want us to focus on ourselves.”
