The Stormers dominated Zebre Parma 31-12 on Italian turf.
In addition to outscoring their opponents five tries to one, the Stormers showed defensive discipline, making 112 tackles with a 91% completion rate.
Zebre managed just 61 tackles at 79% efficiency, struggling to match the Stormers’ intensity and structure.
Munster Triumph Over Leinster In Irish Derby
Munster claimed bragging rights in the Irish derby with a 31-14 victory over Leinster in Dublin.
Leinster struck first and led for the opening 11 minutes, but Munster quickly found rhythm and momentum.
Right before the final whistle, the score stood at 31-7, before Leinster added a late try through Scott Penny and a conversion from Sam Prendergast to close the gap, but only slightly.
Glasgow Warriors Outmuscle Ospreys On The Road
The Glasgow Warriors held control for nearly the entire 80 minutes in their matchup against the Ospreys at Brewery Field.
After scoring first, Glasgow led for 72 minutes and secured a strong win, thanks to superior field control—holding 63% of territory, compared to Ospreys’ 37%.
While the Ospreys managed two tries, Glasgow’s efficiency in converting possession into points made the difference.
Edinburgh Climbs The Table After Shutout
Edinburgh delivered a statement performance, shutting out Benetton 43-0 to jump from 12th to ninth on the URC table.
Edinburgh controlled 64% of possession and notched seven tries and four conversions.
Benetton, unable to win a single scrum, relied heavily on defense, making 156 tackles, but struggling to contain Edinburgh’s relentless attack.
Consistency Defines The Early URC Season
Round 4 reinforced the strength and stability of the URC’s leading sides.
The Stormers, Munster and Glasgow continue to set the standard, while teams like Edinburgh are beginning to challenge the middle of the table with renewed energy.
As Round 5 approaches, consistency, depth and defensive resilience will remain key in separating true contenders from the rest of the pack.
