Iowa Wrestling enters the 2025-2026 season with a roster built around returning contenders and rising stars. 

After placing fourth at the NCAA Championships and extending their streak of top-5 finishes to 17 straight years, the Hawkeyes return a strong core led by Drake Ayala, Mikey Caliendo, Patrick Kennedy and Ben Kueter.

Ayala and Caliendo both reached the NCAA finals, while Kennedy and Kueter earned All-America honors.

With Stephen Buchanan having graduated, Iowa turns to a new wave of talent to fill the gap at 197 pounds. 

Promising underclassmen like Gabe Arnold and Angelo Ferrari are expected to step into bigger roles, and the depth across the lineup—from 125 to heavyweight—gives the Hawkeyes plenty of options.
